The palm trees (and all of the other trees, for that matter) serve as nice framing tools for that incredible view the waterfront at Kingsley Plantation has to offer. I liked that whoever planted them was not compelled to line them up into perfect symmetry. For that reason, they are irregular and quite musical in their rhythm. I remind my students, when painting objects of the same type, to celebrate the differences, for if they are all exactly alike, the monotony is too much, too predictable. Keep them slightly different and visually interesting.
